Overview of Experience
I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from Cardiff University in 2015 and have since worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in England. As well as working in generic CAMHS, I have had senior roles in specialist services/service provisions, including Family Therapy Clinics, Eating Disorder Teams and Neurodevelopmental pathways.
Alongside NHS work, I have worked in Independent Practice since 2018, fully transitioning from the NHS to private work in 2025. Within these NHS contexts I have worked with complex systems and am well skilled in formulating and supporting professionals with issues associated with risk and safeguarding across a range of presenting concerns, taking in to account individual contexts, stage of development, physical and mental health, and neurodiversity.

In terms of models, I am informed by child development drawing upon cognitive behavioural therapies, attachment models and systemic practice. I have undertaken a further post-graduate diploma in systemic practice with Kings College and also, completed additional trainings in EMDR (Adult and Child and Adolescent modules) and administering specific ASC and ADHD assessment tools e.g. ADI-R and ADOS. It is perhaps therefore, not surprising that I am trauma and informed and take a reflective position in supervision, inviting meaning-making to consider pertinent topics to the supervisee, offering a supportive place to consider cases and system issues.
Throughout my career I have provided supervision to a wealth of assistant psychologists, trainees, newly qualified and more experienced clinical psychologists, as well as professionals from different disciplines. To this end, I am also competent in supporting people to consider topics associated with their own provision of supervision. Furthermore, I am a Tutor for the British Psychology Society DCP Early Career CPD Programme, meaning I am alert to common difficulties newly qualified psychologists can encounter. Given my experience of private practice, I am also well positioned to supervise those who are stepping out into private practice for the first time. I position myself as a near-affirmative and anti-racist and specifically utilise my own supervision to continue to develop my own inclusive practice.
I place great value on personal well-being and the interaction between our own mental health and the work that we do. Having experienced my own significant mental health difficulties throughout my life, I am specifically attentive to reflections on self and the use of self within the contexts in which we work.

I have developed my own social media and have undertaken media work, whilst this is an area of ongoing learning, I am well positioned to support those who are wishing to become more public facing in their work.
