Child and Adolescent Therapy

Childhood and adolescents brings it own set unique challenges.  Whilst it is normal to experience highs and lows as we grow, sometimes our emotional and lived experiences can become worrying and overwhelming. When this happens our feelings and ability to cope can impact on our day-to-day functioning, leading to those around us to become worried for our wellbeing.  Psychological therapies can help to make sense of these intense thoughts, feelings and physical sensations and to find ways to manage in a healthier and happier way.

At The Bluebell Clinic, from assessment to discharge, parents and caregivers are always involved in some aspects of their child’s care.  This is because we view parents as a resource to recovery, facilitating safety and support necessary for good mental wellbeing. The amount of involvement is tailored to individuals and family’s needs.

Initial appointments are typically parent only to allow a space for parents to share concerns, as well as take a detailed history for the purpose of assessment and formulation.  Parent only sessions are critical to support in depth working and to inform clinical recommendations. Initial appointments last up to 80 minutes and cost £190.  Subsequent 50 minute sessions are £130 or 80 minute appointments are charged at £190.

All appointments are online and delivered via Zoom.  Appointments are available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 09:30 -16:00.

Shorter sessions can be discussed at a reduced fee.  Reports are extra and are billed at session rate.
